This is one of those things that just came to me and I was not in a place that I could get to the shop.   I thought if I made a hook for my wife to hang towels on, that would be a good thing.   Then I started thinking what could I do to make it special and not just 'run of the mill', so I decided to have leaves on both ends.
I decided to make the leaves different than I had before, and this involved a new method.

When I made the towel hook, I made the leaves very long, drawing the points out very long.   Next, I folded them over to a 90 degree bend along the length of the leaf.   When this was done, I took a small ball peen hammer (such as is used for gasket making) and rounded out the fullness of the leaves from the back side.   This gave the leaves a full, round, realistic feel and look to them that I had not achieved before.
By having the points so long, I was actually able to twist them around the central core of the towel hook until they passed each other.
